ARTHUR GIMMY INTERNATIONAL

Ms. Gates joined Arthur Gimmy International in 1988, broadening her professional career at that time, which included lending and mortgage banking work. Since joining Arthur Gimmy, Mary has appraised an extensive range of commercial property types and a variety of ownership interests, for a wide range of clients. Recent assignments have included appraisals of development land and industrial property in Silicon Valley, development land and retail property in San Francisco, several medical office buildings in the San Francisco Peninsula area and several ambulatory surgery centers. Mary has appraised, on numerous occasions, fractional interests in real property and business interests.

Mary has authorized several articles, for various newsletters and for the Real Estate Finance Journal. She has recently co-authored the textbook The Business of Show Business for the Appraisal Institute.

Ms. Gates obtained the MAI designation in 1996 and is a California Certified General Real Estate Appraiser. She holds a BA degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin, and a MBA-Finance degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
