Brian B. Woodworth, Senior Associate

Mr. Woodworth has been a real estate appraiser since 1985 when he joined Arthur Gimmy International. His appraisal experience encompasses various types of income-producing properties, including recreational clubs, spas, hotels, motels, golf courses, medical and commercial offices, shopping centers, warehouses, industrial plants, restaurants, marinas, auto dealerships, movie theaters, business parks, and apartments. Other assignments include expert witness testimony, litigation support, market and financial feasibility studies, property tax appeals, business valuations, leasehold appraisals, ranch land appraisals, park land acquisitions, subdivision analyses, airport rental valuations, pension fund portfolios, partial interests, and limited partnership properties. Mr. Woodworth has appraisal or consulting experience throughout California and in Arizona, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and Costa Rica.

Mr. Woodworth's appraisal specialty is the valuation of recreational clubs and spas. He co-authored Fitness, Racquet Sports and Spa Projects: A Guide to Market Analyses, Development and Financing which the Appraisal Institute published in 1989. Some clients have included Sports Club Company, Leisure Sports, Western Athletic Clubs, AT&T Capital, GMAC Capital, and US Bank. In 1999, he researched and wrote the first annual Club Investment and Financing Survey. Mr. Woodworth has been a speaker at conventions that Club Industry and IHRSA have sponsored. He also has authored various articles that have been published in Appraisal Insights, Appraisal Views, and Fitness Management.

Mr. Woodworth holds an M.A. degree in city and regional planning from Harvard University and graduated magna cum laude from Boston University with a B.A. in political science and a minor in economics. He is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in California and has received reciprocal licenses in numerous other states.
